Yemen Warns US of Consequences After Attacks on Iran's Nuclear Facilities

IQNA –  A senior Yemeni official has warned the United States against attacks on Iran, stating that Washington will be responsible for the consequences.

"The US is responsible for the repercussions of this action," said Hazam Alasad, a member of the political bureau of the Ansarullah movement, Al-Jazeera reported.

The comments come as the US forces bombed nuclear facilities in central Iran on Sunday morning, in violation of international law and soverignty of Iran.

Just hours before the attack, Muhammad al-Bukhaiti, another member of the Ansarullah political bureau, warned American forces that Yemen’s armed forces are prepared to confront the United States if it participates in an aggression against Iran.  

Al-Bukhaiti emphasized Yemen's stance: "We have a firm position to support resistance forces against aggression by Israel and the US."  

He also highlighted the broader implications, saying: "An attack on Iran is equivalent to aggression against Gaza and the entire Islamic nation."  

Meanwhile, Yemeni Armed Forces Commander Yahya Sariq issued a statement last night, declaring that if the US enters the conflict and joins Israel in attacking Iran, Yemen will target American ships and vessels in the Red Sea.  

Additionally, Israel’s radio and television organization, citing an Israeli high-ranking official, reported that if the US had not join the attack on Iran, Tel Aviv could have been drawn into a prolonged war.
